A couple of costly penalties with 5 minutes left in the game stopped any momentum that the Raiders were building in their attempt to tie the game against the Pirates last night.  Newly acquired Peter Sergeant took a 4 minute penalty followed by a Jordan McDonald 2 minute minor putting the Raiders 2 men short and down 4-3.

The Raiders did manage to fend of the Pirates powerplay, but, surrendered an empty net goal that they could not rebound from. The final score, 5-3 in favor of the visiting Pirates.

Tonight, the Raiders have a chance to turn things around as they prepare for the playoffs as they travel to Campbellford.  They will be playing a make up game for Oct. 22.  Puck drops at 8:30 PM.

Campbellford and Picton are battling for the final playoff spot behind the Raiders.
