After one period of play Napanee found themselves down only one goal and nothing to worry about. Lots of game left and they were only down by one goal. Things changed quickly and they found themselves down 7-3 in the third period. Time to panic.
Instead of panicking the Raiders displayed a no quit, never die mentality that every team desires in the playoffs. The Raiders were rewarded with an 8-7 overtime victory in the hard to win W.J. Henderson arena. Napanee now holds a 1-0 lead in the best of 7 opening round against the Jets.
Game two is scheduled for February 27 at the StrathconaPaperCenter. Puck drops at 7:30PM.
Colborne holds a 1-0 series lead over the Campbellford Rebels. Colborne took game 1 in overtime by a score of 1-0. The stellar play of Rebels goalie Jeff King gives the team a strong chance at an upset series win over the Cobras.
